Just few years ago, the Jamb CBT method was introduced to correct examination malpractice, which became very widespread in the paper and pencil testing method. As at 2013, the Jamb CBT update really favored so many Jamb candidates.

This increased the love and general acceptance of the Jamb computer based testing method. The Jamb 2013/2014 computer based examination was very awesome. I could remember how the candidates who used the ppt method (including me) were very unlucky. Like all other Jamb upgrade, the Jamb CBT boosted 40% of Jamb results for those who filled the computer based method in their Jamb registration form.

This made all of us agree with the new Jamb cbt method. Unfortunately the story has changed. Many Jamb candidates have started facing challenges using the jamb computer based testing method. The quality of Jamb CBT result has began to reduce exponentially since the 2014/2015 Jamb results were released and students have expressed their disappointment. Now, Is the Jamb CBT method going to be hated again?

What are the challenges in Jamb CBT?
 
The current trend in the Jamb CBT can be traced to three major factors:
Systematic Error: Where your system suddenly go off or stop working. Jamb Error: This is an error that may occur at Jamb back-end. Here, you write very well but still score 50 in Jamb.
Human error in Jamb CBT: This is the biggest part. It is mistakes on your part. Although we can only call on the Joint Admission and matriculation board officials to correct the systematic error and back-
end errors, yet you must play your own role to survive the 2017/2018 Jamb CBT update.

In this article, I will be teaching you the best way to survive the Jamb CBT update so that you can score very high in the Jamb 2017/2018. I will try to make it very short and simple.


 














1. Follow Jamb CBT Registration Instructions
This is the very basic step to take in Jamb registration. Follow all registration instructions and make sure you fill your details very well. Any major mistake you make here can cost you your admission. Yes, many persons fail the physical clearance test even after gaining admission to study their desired course. It is following principles that makes you a principal.

2. Prepare well for the Jamb CBT
What you are not prepared for, you are not qualified for. The exam you don't prepare for will shock you on that day. When I talk about jamb preparation, I do not mean the baby type of preparation. I mean strong and effective preparations like I explained in my article on How to study for long without losing concentration and how to remember everything in Jamb exam hall. When you are well equipped with the Armour of preparation, you don't border about Jamb 2017 expo or Jamb runs 2017/2018. This is very important.

3. Go Early And Ask Questions
Make sure you go to the jamb examination hall very early. If there is anything you are not clear about, feel free to ask the Jamb officials. After all, you are not writing Jamb again. Test your mouse and keyboard to make sure that their is no issue at all. Also, check your Jamb calculator for possible errors. These simple steps can boost your exam result.

4. Solve The Jamb CBT Questions In Seconds
Jamb and post Utme are all about speed. You can be very intelligent and still fail if you are not fast. Be very time conscious in the Jamb examination hall. Talking about speed, the use of Jamb CBT past questions come to mind. Make sure you start with the subject that you are best good at and do not waste
time. Write your exam with the sense of urgency, have the mentality, "I am behind schedule". Inasmuch as you are time conscious, be accuracy conscious.

5. Use Your Head
You may not have the answer to all the questions but you can get 60% of the questions you don't know correctly. This is where you have to use your coconut. 6. Don't Copy

7. Cross Check Your Work Before Hitting The Submit button

JAMB to begin sales of 2017/2018 UTME forms

 

- - The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is set to
begin sales of its 2017 UTME application forms
- The announcement will be made
following an agreement that was
reached with other examination bodies in the country after agreeing on
a harmonized timetable
- A 10-day window for JAMB'S UTME has been created by all examination
bodies for the exam body to conduct its examination


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), is set to
commence of sale of the 2017/2018 admission forms for Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).

This agreement was reached at the national headquarters of the Board
in Abuja on Tuesday, January 24, after a meeting with
National Examination Council (NECO), West African Examination Council
(WAEC) and National Business and Technical Examination (NABTEB) to
harmonize the timetable.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the head of media and information, in a statement
said that the
harmonized examination timetable, will solve problems arising from
overlapping of
examination dates, which has
disenfranchised a lot of candidates.

"The bodies agreed that for the purpose of the 2017 UTME, JAMB will
shift its examinations to allow students face WAEC, NECO and NABTEB,"
he said.

In another development, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, the registrar and chief
executive of JAMB, has said that candidates, who wish to
sit for the 2017 Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination, will take the examination under the
surveillance of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras.

The registrar while speaking during a briefing in Abuja said the
measure was necessary and that it is aimed at preventing examination
malpractice during the UTME.

Lately I've been helping so many people with the setup part of
blogging that I've sort of forgotten the post-launch period.
So right here we'll cover 10 critical tasks for you and your newly
launched blog.



10 Tasks for New Blogs

Quick note: These are actual flaws I see on your new blogs and truly
are things that if you do straight away really will jumpstart your
blog. They apply to blogs and sites in all niches!

1) Delete the pre-made features
Blogger comes with several initial "things" in place to show you what
you can create. From the "First Post" to the Sample Page, Archives,
Meta, and Recent
Comments sections these all look rather pointless at first. So delete them.
You can fill the space with actual pages, archives, etc once you
create a few blog posts. For now, simple is best and these pre-made
features will only distract people.

2) Change your theme immediately
On Blogger it's quite easy to change the entire theme (or look, or
design, whatever you want to call it) of the blog.
Just go to Template – Select Themes – Install Themes – Upload, then
find your theme.
You can also search for free themes by criteria, or can browse premium
themes (these are paid options) at a place like Theme-Junkie.
I've personally used a premium (costs money) theme Theme-Junkie for
about a year now, and wrote a premium theme review tell you how my
theme helped jack monthly revenue to the moon.

3) Create a working title
Working is the key word here!
Either just title your blog, or upload an image banner containing your
title. Please
do this soon, readers will run for the hills if you don't.

4) Write a welcome message
A welcome message, just in MY humble opinion, should be your very
first post. It tells readers why you started and gives them an idea of
what's to come.
I think you should have a blast writing one.

5) Do your best to show signs of interaction
When I wrote about the popularity contest that is social proof, I
mentioned how showing interaction on a blog leads to…more interaction.
Grab a Twitter dialogue box, a simple Google Plus badge, or ask a few
friends or family members to be your first commenters. This will make
a huge difference going forward.

6) Create an about me page
Also in the fun category, do this literally right away.
Say I'm a reader curious about what your blog, or website covers. I'll
either read the welcome post or this about me page to find out. If
it's missing, I'm gone.
Spend about an hour making this
personable, and really, really good. I know a lot of you won't even
listen, but this page really is critical. It's good for getting
subscribers and customers too.

7) Research your niche
A big part of our guide to planning your new blog was niche research.
If you didn't research other blogs or websites like yours before
beginning you should really get on that now. Knowing what's out there
will help you tailor your
content to be original, and you might even meet some helpful blogging
friends along the way.

8) Put on some comfy clothing
I really could have put this up at number 2 or 3 but I'm just thinking
of it now. These jeans are not broken in!

9) Get a logo
You should have a logo that explains your purpose and includes a motif or two.
You should do some preliminary research on what logos are working on
people nowadays (usually Google images is good
enough) then ask one of your design-savvy friends to create a working
logo. Or open up Photoshop and tackle it yourself!
I say working again because it doesn't have to be perfect! Which
brings me to my last point.

10) Ditch the perfectionism
Throw it right out the window of your apartment, because being a
perfectionist will really hold you back in blogging.
You have to make mistakes to learn, we know this.
But in blogging, you have to actually put yourself out there, online,
and get your hands dirty. You have to learn code, try out writing
styles, totally botch the design, and generally be goofy.
If you expect things to run perfectly your blog will go no wehere at
all. And, the good part is nobody is judging!

IDENTIFY YOUR PASSION
Passion is essential to successful
blogging. Without, and your blog will struggle right away. So, when
planning your new blog, ask yourself:

2. What is your expertise?
3. Can you write about this?
If you are passionate about coffee, yoga, and tennis, it would not be
smart to blog about all three.

A competitive niche is one where a lot of blogs are competing for our attention.
Examples are mobile phones, finance, credit cards, gaming, and digital cameras.
Such niches are also profitable – which explains why a lot of people
want in – because they are the ones where blog readers typical spend
money or seek
advice before buying an item.
Some niches will always be more open than others.
You have to research the trends within your niche to understand what
is missing and what angles you could cover.

Micro-niches
This term refers to tiny segments within a niche. Here are some examples:
Niche: Finance
Microniches: Passive income, home loans, college savings, mortgages,
retirement investments

Niche: Travel
Microniches: Destinations in Asia, travel equipment, airfare, lifestyle blogs

Micro-niches show where bloggers have highly specific skill sets.

THINK UP A DOMAIN NAME
A domain name is your address on the web – what people type in to find you.
My domain name is http://
www.jovialportal.com.
You ideally want a .com, a .net, or a .org for your domain name.
Others just look funny.
You can search domains on GoDaddy, but don't buy one just yet. You
will learn how to register your domain name at HostGator at the same
time we install our
blog.

Keywords
A great domain name contains keywords.
Not a lot, but a couple.
If you blog about finance, you might want to get "money" into your
domain name, for example.
Jovialportal.com is a blog about portals, it benefits from having
"portal" in the domain name.

BRANDING
Domains can also be quite brandable.
Think of domains like Twitter.com and YouTube.com.
These domains sound odd at first, but after you hear them a few times,
they are actually quite catchy.

SUSTAINABLE
A sustainable domain is one you can look at 1 or even 5 years from now
and still love.
Don't pick a domain you think is childish or silly or funny.
Professionalism nearly always wins here.


REGISTRATION
Registering a domain name means making the payment and claiming your
own web address.
At this point you don't have a blog yet, you just have a domain. Every
website on the web has a domain name.
As mentioned above, we'll be registering your domain at the same time

Today, my seventy-five-year-old grandpa who has been blind from

she is. I bet you miss seeing that beauty on a daily basis." "Sweety,"

my grandpa said, "I still see her beauty every day. In fact, I see it

more now than I used to when we were young."

around to the passenger side, opened the door for the woman, took her

hand and helped her

out of her seat, guided her about ten feet away from the car, and they

slow danced for the next half hour under the oak tree.

Today, I operated on a little girl. She needed O- blood. We didn't

have any, but her twin brother has O- blood.

I explained to him that it was a matter of life and death. He sat

quietly for a moment, and then said goodbye to his parents. I didn't

think anything of it until after we took his blood and he asked,

"So when will I die?" He thought he was giving his life for hers.

Thankfully, they'll both be fine.

Today, my dad is the best dad I could ask for. He's a loving husband

to my mom (always making her laugh), he's been to every one of my

soccer games since I was five (I'm 17 now), and he provides for our

family as a construction foreman.

This morning when I was searching through my dad's toolbox for a

pliers, I found a dirty folded up paper at the bottom. It was an old

journal entry in my dad's handwriting dated exactly

one month before the day I was born.

It reads, "I am eighteen years old,

an alcoholic who is failing out of college, a past cutter, and a child

abuse victim with a criminal record of auto theft. And next month,

'teen father' will be added

to the list. But I swear I will make things right for my little girl.

I will be the dad I never had." And I don't know how he did it, but he

did it.

Today, my eight-year-old son hugged me and said, "You are the best mom

in the whole entire world!" I smiled and sarcastically replied, "How

do you know that? You haven't met every mom in the whole entire

world." My son squeezed me tighter and said, "Yes I have. You are

my world."

Today, I have an elderly patient who is suffering from a severe case

of Alzheimer's. He can rarely remember his own name, and he often

forgets where he is and what he said just a few minutes beforehand.

But by the stretch

of some miracle (perhaps the miracle of love), he remembers who is

wife is every morning when she shows up to spend a few hours with him.

He usually greets her by saying, "Hello my beautiful Kate."
